Buy Wow Gold

I decided to dive in and try my first serious MMO game a few months ago, and happened to choose World of Warcraft (WoW) as a place to start.  Having consistently dominated the MMO game market for so long, I figured 4 million registered players couldn’t all be wrong.  Indeed it is actually a very fun game, and I was completely addicted to it for several weeks.

Having said that I was immediately amazed at how many people take the game so seriously, and are very competitive.  The in game currency used, simply called gold or gold pieces, is actually a hotly sold commodity in real life.  People buy WoW gold with real money, and apparently there’s enough people out there buying WoW gold to have created a small online industry.  

I’ve never done it, so I’m hazy on how it works, but apparently when you buy WoW gold you arrange for someone to meet you in the game with your gold after paying.  Theoretically, you could pay some site good money and they may not ever deliver.  However, since buying WoW gold is apparently so popular, there must be plenty of sites that follow through with their offers.

In order to meet the demands of everyone that wants to buy WoW gold, there are thousands of players that have been dubbed ‘farmers’ that do nothing but build up gold reserves in the game.  These players typically live in parts of the world like India or China where even the very modest income they get from their WoW gold sales goes a long way.  Unfortunately for the games ‘real’ players, some of the servers are so crowded with farmers that its hard to play the game as it was meant.

For this reason, and because the farmers are often quite rude and have a tendency of hogging areas of the game for themselves, the buying of WoW gold has mixed opinions.  Generally, it is not recommended to buy WoW gold because it encourages more farmers.   Personally, I’m still having trouble believing that people actually shell out good money for fake money, but that’s just me.

Of course, if you buy WoW gold, no one in the game will know it, and it’ll be your little secret.  Since getting gold the normal way, by playing the game, is part of the fun, I highly advise against it.  Remind yourself that it’s a game, and that its supposed to be fun, not a measure of who has the most fake gold.  After all, having more gold than anyone is really a measure of how much time you’ve spent playing a computer game, which isn’t really anything to be that proud of.
